Meet Tara Fox, DNP
A FEW WORDS FROM Tara…
Tara earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Virginia Tech before completing her R.N. and Master of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University in 2010.
She began her career in Washington, D.C., working in a specialty clinic focused on infectious disease and post-infectious syndromes. During her six years there, she collaborated with healthcare providers across the country and abroad, combining her knowledge of child development with evidence-based practice to help improve outcomes for patients living with chronic illness related to infection.
After her time in D.C., Tara worked in central and northern Virginia at a pediatric urgent and emergent care clinic. As Lead Nurse Practitioner, she oversaw multiple providers, staff, and clinic locations, playing a key role in growing practices that served underserved areas.
In 2020, Tara earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Georgetown University, with her doctoral research focused on improving screening for PANDAS, a rare disorder that can follow strep infections. She has since been published and invited to speak on the recognition and treatment of the condition.
Tara and her family moved to Indianapolis in 2019, where she joined Excel for Life. She now leads the pediatric team, focusing on child development and preventative medicine.
Outside of work, Tara enjoys playing tennis and traveling with her husband, their two boys, and their three dogs.
I look forward to meeting with you and your family!
