Reflections on Day 1 of The Plan

My thoughts about day one of the cleanse:
The first day on the plan was great to eat such healthy and delicious food. That is very unusual for a detox. I was not very hungry, maybe a little hungry before lunch and dinner. I was happy for the snack. I did feel a little more tired. It required a lot of preparation to get the ingredients and to cook the meals that we hadn’t made before. It is amazing how healthy my refrigerator looks, and I did eat pretty darn healthy before! I am happy to see and experience a low inflammation neutral meal plan, that then I can test things.
Results: My weight was down a pound from the day before.
Family Updates: My husband Bruce also is doing the plan with me, to see if it will help with the little extra stomach that many can as when they get older. He would like to lose a few pounds also. His weight was essentially the same after the first day, maybe up just a quarter of a pound. We will be closely watching it. We both did follow the plan strictly, having more than enough of our water for the day before dinner, and only a little water after dinner or with dinner. I have been watching my morning basal temperature the past 1 to 2 weeks, but I was a little sick last week. Of the six readings I was able to remember to take first thing in the morning, three were a little under 97 and three were above. I may well add some of the iodine seasonings she mentions in the book.
We are on day two! Testing almonds & basmati (lower inflammatory rice) today! I am going to prep a little today, and I’m on my way to a mild flow yoga that we do every Wednesday morning. We certainly enjoyed watching it’s a wonderful life last night together! Thank you Lyn-Genet for your great book book!
