Power Words: What You Say Can Change Your Life by Joyce Meyer
By simply choosing to talk more positively about your circumstances, you can unlock the power of positivity in your life and achieve the amazing things God has in store for you. You don’t have to live under the burden of negativity, the way Joyce did early in her life.
Everything is affected by the words you use: your attitude, your sense of joy, and even your success. When you align your words with God’s Word and speaking His promises over your life, ALL aspects of your life change for the better! You become more peaceful, hopeful, and positive about your future and live God’s best life for you! Declaring God’s goodness and faithfulness each day and in every situation will have an amazing impact.
The words we speak can steer our lives in one direction or another. You can turn your life toward the best God has for you or settle for the best you can do on your own. It’s your choice!
Part 1: The Power of Your Words (Words are containers for power. Words affect the natural realm. Words can move mountains. Learn to speak power words.)
“The power of life and death is in the tongue.” Proverbs 18:21 … and He wants you and me to speak life!
“If you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes and so is justified (right, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (speaks/declares openly) and confirms his salvation.” – Romans 10:9-10
As you meditate on God’s Word, which includes speaking it and rolling it over in your mind, it becomes part of you. Your responses to problems or difficulties in your life will change.
Take time to get to know God, to learn His Word, and to know His heart. And then for example, instead of blurting out something negative when you hear about any kind of trouble (business or personal), you will declare that God will take care of you. He will help you keep your job or you’ll get a better one. And when facing any difficulty, you can say “All my needs are met in Jesus” even before anything changes!
