The Benefits of Deep Breathing & Yoga Exercises
There are many great benefits for your body that comes with flexibility and deep breathing you do during yoga. Here I am with Bruce at Santosha with Sheila Dimof.
Deep breathing provides your body with many amazing benefits:
- Improves mental clarity
- Reduces stress
- Reduces blood pressure
- Boosts energy
- Releases toxins
- Improves posture
- Strengthens abdominal muscles
- Improves sleep
- Strengthens the immune system
- Strengthens the heart
- Aids in weight loss
- Relieves built up tension in the body
Focus While Deep Breathing
It helps to have a focus when you are practicing deep breathing. I imagine myself breathing in the fruits of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23.
” 22…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control…“
And breathe out negativity or better yet: gratitude for all God has given me.
